Our hunting programs are based on 3- and 4-day high-volume dove hunting packages conducted as part of an agricultural pest control program. Las Palomas and Los Guaduales are located within approximately one million hectares of cultivated farmland and receive an estimated thirty million migratory doves between April and November each year.
The eared dove appears to be partially migratory, with its movements largely driven by food availability. Its population has increased rapidly due to the expansion of Bolivia's agricultural industry over the past twenty years. It is estimated that between 50 and 60 million doves are attracted to Bolivia annually by the abundant food sources created by modern agriculture.
The eared dove (Zenaida auriculata) is considered an agricultural pest in Bolivia due to the significant impact it has on a variety of crops throughout the region. Hunting activities contribute to the responsible management of dove populations while also supporting local farmers and rural communities.
